Overview

‘Beach Luau Experience’ is a perfect way to entertain, celebrate, or relax the night away. The experience starts with a boat ride to one of Lake Texoma’s Islands or to our private beach. Upon arrival, your hosts will get you ready for an evening of fun!

Appetizers of Coconut Shrimp Skewers, Grilled Fruit Kabobs, and Tahitian Punch (you bring the rum) are served while your guests mingle with their toes in the sand. We have a buffet including Roast Pork Loin, Teriyaki Chicken, Pineapple Fried Jasmine Rice. and a Bahamian Vegetable Medley. We play music while you dine around the tiki-torch lit tables right on the edge of the water.

As the sun goes down, we serve a dessert of Caramelized Pineapple Upside Down Cake while you and your guests sip on the drinks and enjoy the views.

  • Transportation via Water Taxi to a Beach (Private Beach available for $250)
  • 2 Hours at Destination ($100 per hour each additional hour)

  • Luau Themed decor (leis, tiki torches, table settings)
  • Beach Music (Steel Drum Band Available upon request for additional fee)
  • "Island Paradise" three-course meal. (Whole Roasted Pig available for $300 for groups of 12+)
  • Non-alcoholic drinks, coolers with ice (you provide any alcohol desired)
  • Campfire Available (depending on weather, $150)

Itinerary

Day 1 – We pickup your group and make trip(s) to our predetermined beach destination via water taxi. We prefer to get your group to the beach about half an hour before sunset, so times vary depending on time of year and your group’s needs. Once at the Beach, the experience includes 2 hours of time for food, drinks, music, and campfire fun. After the evening is over, we shuttle your group back to the pickup spot.

This Experience is also available at one of our private beaches that have access by vehicle as opposed to water taxi. These spaces can accommodate groups up to 100 people. For more information, contact our Event Coordinators to help plan a custom experience for  your group.

Although we do our best to adhere to the schedule listed above, this itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control.


What's Included and What to Bring

This experience is a very tailored and special evening and as such, we truly handle all the work. We just ask you and your guest to show up dressed for the occasion and ready to have fun!

Below is a list of what we include and stuff you should think about bringing.

  • CLOTHING - Dress seasonably appropriate and if you have a special request for your group to be more formal or casual, make sure you let them know... Hawaiian Shirts are always acceptable :)
  • FOOD - We include the three-course dinner. It's plenty of food. If there's any dietary restrictions, we do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • DRINKS - We provide beach refreshements such as tea, water, and lemonade.
  • ALCOHOL - If you would like alcoholic refreshments, you need to bring those yourself. We can provide a Bar Setup (soft drinks, mixers, etc) and a Bartender for an additional charge.
  • SUN AND BUGS - Since you'll be outdoors on the water, you'll want sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • WATER SHOES - This is your call, but having shoes that can get wet is always a plus. When we get to the beach at our destinations, there's a good chance you'll have to get in the water to unload.
  • ATTITUDE - You're signing up for an evening of fun. As such, there's a little work, a little uncertainty, and the possibility for the unexpected to occur. We want you to come with a positive mental attitude and be able to roll with the punches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Although Lake Texoma Adventures is a new venture, Texoma Destinations (our parent company), has been around since 2007. Our staff is experienced outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of Lake Texoma. We know the lake better than most folks that have lived here their whole life. We are travelers, adventures, and teachers. We know how to be safe, have fun, and share our passion for what we do.

It depends on demand. From April to October, we will have at least one trip for each activity per month… In the peak summertime, we may have more.

Currently, calling us at 903.361.8500 is the best way to find out more information, including dates, total cost, and to actually book.

We require a 50% deposit upon booking with the balance due prior to the trip.

We require 14 days advance notice to cancel your trip. If you cancel within those 14 days  closest to your trip date, you will either a) be able to move your trip once to another date; or b) forfeit your deposit.

Should we cancel due to weather concerns, lack of attendance, or force majeure, you will be refunded the full deposit.

Texas weather is notoriously unpredictable although we’re pretty good at an educated guess. We’ve seen 100% chance of rain turn into a beautiful weekend and we’ve seen a sunny forecast turn ugly in a matter of hours.

Safety is ALWAYS our #1 and #2 priority… We don’t ever want to put anyone in harm’s way. That being said, we typically do not cancel trips due to an inclement weather forecast. A little rain never hurt anyone. We will keep you up-to-date as your trip date approaches if we have any concerns about weather and safety.

Should we cancel a trip due to weather, you will have the option to reschedule for a later date or to receive a refund on your deposit.

We try and spell out things you need and things we include above. There are a few simple traveling tips we recommend…

  1. Travel Light – Pack the essentials. Heavy bags become a burden on everyone.
  2. Travel Safe – Make sure you have any medications, prescription glasses, and protection (sunscreen, bug spray, etc) that you might need.
  3. Travel Smart – You’re on an adventure… whether thats a few hours on a boat or a few days camping… Be informed and make good decisions. This is simple stuff like making sure you have cameras and batteries, to letting someone know where you’re going and what you’re doing.
  4. Be Legal – We do not allow any weapons or drugs on our trips. Even if you have a CHL or equivalent, we don’t allow firearms. We are on government property most of the time. We will most likely encounter law enforcement for vessel safety checks on the water. We like to be legal and demand the same from you.

Sorry… We’re pet lovers too but we don’t allow pets of any kind on any of our trips. Thanks for understanding.
